Qualifications for Candidates

To be considered for a Fast Track position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, education, or related field
• Three to five years management or supervisory experience
• Experience working with at-risk populations
• A willingness to frequently relocate to various MTC Job Corps centers
• Minimum qualifications of the position available

Job Corps

As part of his War on Poverty, President Lyndon Baines Johnson introduced Job Corps to America in 1964. Two generations later, Job Corps is still going strong, with more than 120 centers throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, this job-training program serves young men and women, ages 16 to 24.

Management and Development Courses

MTC's Corporate University provides educational opportunities to MTC employees including: supervisory, managerial, and executive training and program-specific workshops. Fast Track participants could be recommended for a 12-month management development course as early as 2 months on the job!
