| Background: |
This Correctional Alternative Placement Program (CAPP) facility opened outside Boise, Idaho on July 1, 2010. Management & Training Corporation (MTC) constructed the site and now manages it. CAPP offers a 90-day treatment program for sub- stance abuse and cognitive issues for low-to-mod- erate-risk male offenders. The facility houses three different groups of offenders: parole violators, proba- tioners and retained jurisdiction inmates. The intensive treatment program provided by CAPP features eight hours of classes and group sessions, Monday through Friday, and an additional hours of structured activities on weekends. CAPP is designed to help offenders with well-rounded personal growth and to improve their family and community relation- ships. The program provides comprehensive treatment com- ponents in three, month-long phases. |
