| Background: |
The Otero County Prison Facility is located north of Chaparrel, New Mexico. Original construction was completed in October, 2003. MTC is contracted with the county to provide all services to satisfy an Inter Governmental Agreement with the U.S. Marshal Services to a male and female (86 beds) population. |

. Otero is also CEA accredited with a 100% rating in October 2006. |
