| Background: |
The Otero County Processing Center is located north of Chaparral, New Mexico. Operations began in June, 2008. MTC is contracted with the county to provide all services to satisfy an Inter Governmental Agreement with Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) to an administrative detainee population. In additional to detention services, the facility provides transportation services for the ICE-El Paso Field Office area of operation. |
