MTC's employees are required to meet standards similar to those set by government for public facilities. Employees receive intensive training and certification.

Is MTC active in the communities where it operates facilities?
Facility wardens play a key role in their communities. MTC establishes solid, long-term relationships with communities through local purchases, employment and community service projects. Community residents are encouraged to serve on facility advisory boards and committees.

What is MTC's goal at its facilities?
MTC's programming is designed to provide the academic, vocational and social skills to enable offenders to re-enter society as productive, self-sufficient, tax-paying workers, citizens and family members. MTC provides a variety of treatment options for non-violent offenders to rehabilitate and educate them. Independent studies indicate, these techniques can and do reduce inmate recidivism rates.
