International Development Overview

MTC cares about people, their livelihood, and their future.

Worldwide unemployment, underemployment, and marginalization plague hundreds of millions of people. The frustration and disappointment that plays out in the lives of individuals, communities, and countries negatively impacts the potential for personal prosperity, economic development, and stability. In many regions and countries, high numbers of at-risk youth and marginalized populations are both an underutilized asset, as well as a possible threat if their energy is not directed to constructive activities.

MTC International is dedicated to helping people develop the skills needed to build better lives for themselves and their families. MTC is a leader in workforce development, working with more than 35,000 people each year.

MTC International is committed to building the capacity of local institutions and providing access and opportunities for disadvantaged populations to gain the skills necessary to contribute to the workforce. MTC International provides services in all aspects of workforce development: analyzes and addresses market needs; certifies institutions, trainers, and students in international standards; leverages local resources; establishes public/private partnerships; and builds a network of stakeholders for sustained workforce development.

MTC International recognizes and addresses the complexities involved in sustainable workforce development in a challenging global marketplace. Vocational and technical education requires internationally recognized standards to ensure the competitiveness of the workforce. MTC International offers curricula for more than 100 vocations that include technical skills, safety & maintenance, and other skills meeting industry standards.

Experienced in working with disadvantaged populations in extreme circumstances, MTC International has the ability and experience to meet the learners where they are and to collaborate with local partners to overcome or mitigate institutional and structural barriers to success.
