MTC is a leader in the workforce development field. Each year MTC provides essential skill development to more than 35,000 people. MTC International draws on the experience and competence of more than 1,700 highly skilled, hands-on professionals who are experts in workforce development and technical and vocational education.

Industry Standards & Credentials
MTC partners with industry leaders to establish and develop training which reflects current standards. Each of the more than 100 vocations offered, provide internationally recognized, credentialed/certified standards. In the competitive, global marketplace, workforce development will provide skills to increase employability, help businesses thrive and grow, and improve a community’s economic standing needed to meet internationally agreed upon industry standards.
Too often, international programs in workforce development focus on the acquisition and improvement of technical skills while overlooking two other important factors: lack of employability skills that may exist and safety and maintenance standards for long term success. All MTC curricula addresses core vocational skills, associated soft skills, and safety and maintenance standards.
MTC is uniquely positioned to provide this certified/credentialed training and to prepare local institutions to help them become qualified to continue the work after a project is completed. In addition, MTC can facilitate relationships with professional, industry associations for long-term sustainability.
Customized Approach

In all efforts MTC International consults, collaborates with, and advises governments, the private sector, industry organizations, and training providers through all phases of the project or intervention. MTC recognizes that key to long-term success includes not only the work at hand, but also a focus on how to empower local organizations to continue the work in the future. This may include facilitating and formalizing partnerships among local organizations, working with them on strategies and approaches increasing their financial health, as well as individual and institutional capacity building efforts.

In many countries and regions the demographic youth bulge promises to be a threat to stability and prosperity if the energy and capacity of young people cannot be translated into skill development and employability. Studies show that even in regions where extreme poverty is not a contributing factor, education is available, and employers exist, often youth still lack employability skills. In other regions, marginal and vulnerable populations barely able to provide for their families lack access to formal education and can benefit from basic skill improvement to increase their chances to adequately provide for their families.
MTC International has demonstrated in a range of communities and countries that appropriate, customized workforce development solutions are a key development component. The starting point may be at the national level and comprehensive, or in an individual community to integrate a marginal group, or working with local businesses and other organizations to improve economic development through specific industries. In each scenario, workforce development is key to success.
