What is Job Corps?
Started in 1964, Job Corps is a U.S. Department of Labor-funded job-training program for 16 to 24 year old men and women. There are 122 Job Corps centers and 4 satellites. MTC operates or partners with 25 centers, more than any other public or private operator.

Students attend Job Corps for up to two years, focusing on academic and vocational training as well as personal and professional skills. Job Corps places a high percentage of students in jobs, the military, or higher education. Job Corps enhances students' wage rates, overall earnings, fringe benefits and length of employment.

How many Job Corps students do you serve?
MTC serves nearly 12 thousand students at Job Corps centers from Hawaii to Massachusetts.

Is Job Corps really effective?
Economists at Mathematica Policy Research concluded in a recent, independent evaluation that Job Corps returns $2.02 for every dollar invested in the program. Students learn career and technical training and life skills to become tax payers rather than tax burdens.

What makes MTC different from other companies in the Job Corps field?
MTC is the largest, single Job Corps contractor with the U.S. Department of Labor. MTC's size gives customers access to unique technical specialists and expertise. The depth of MTC's corporate team ensures experts are on hand to oversee all facets of a complex operation and to insure all challenges will be met.
