Job Corps' Community College Solution - Making the Pieces Fit

Management & Training Corporation Job Corps Centers are partnering with community colleges to address the health care workforce challenges in Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The health care industry faces three key problems:

• Shortage of qualified health care employees
• Lack of bilingual employees, and
• Available, yet untrained out-of-school youth

Job Corps students are recruited to pursue advanced healthcare training at the partnering community college. Students completing training earn industry-recognized certification and receive transition and placement assistance.
