Borallon Correctional Centre helps keep search for missing youth alive

It’s been more than three years since a young Australian boy disappeared while waiting to catch a bus.  Daniel Morcombe has not been seen since December 7, 2003.  But family and friends continue to search for Daniel, who was 13 at the time of his disappearance.  The MTC-operated Borallon Correctional Centre recently did what it could to assist the effort as well.

“Daniel is one little boy who is lost…but definitely not forgotten,” said Borallon General Manager Troy Ittensohn.  “MTC has previously implemented Crime Stopper initiatives at Borallon to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.  We are proud to host this day of remembrance also.”

The correctional facility used the day as a fundraiser for the foundation.  Borallon staff also placed posters around the facility to raise awareness about Daniel’s disappearance with inmates and the many visitors they receive.

“It only needs to be one person to make the link in helping find some long-awaited answers,” Ittensohn added.
