The five-member Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center Academic Team recently enjoyed a successful trip to their Academic Olympics.  The Kentucky-based team journeyed to Ocean City, Maryland and came away with a fourth place finish in the annual competition.

The Clements team tallied 72 points during the intense competition, falling to the Olympics champion by only 11 points.

Clements team members included: Christopher Dionne, Justin Hall, Phillip Morgan, Christopher Merriman and Frankie Bailey.  At the Clements center, the students are studying computer science, culinary arts and network cabling.

In addition to competing, the students and their staff advisors also took the opportunity to visit the historic landmarks of Washington DC.

Several MTC-operated Job Corps centers sponsor Academic Olympic teams each year.
