Dayton Job Corps Center catering on a large scale

Dayton Job Corps Center's culinary arts students recently catered a dinner for more than 500 guests at the Dayton View Academy's E2 Grand Opening Celebration.

The E2 Celebration attracted parents and dignitaries throughout the city of Dayton, Ohio. The celebration focused on the state-of-the-art education sponsored by the Dayton View Academy for their 700 plus students. The upgrade in education included advanced computers, technology, and different approaches to teaching.

Dayton Job Corps culinary arts students who assisted with the E2 celebration were involved in menu planning, preparation and cooking of various foods, serving, sanitation and calculating food costs.

Dayton View Academy's Student Engagement Director Deborah Scales attended the center's monthly awards assembly and awarded certificates of appreciation to those students who participated in the event. Scales also invited Dayton Job Corps culinary arts students to work in conjunction with the Dayton View Academy on future projects.
