Job Corps students appear on CBS Early Show

Students from four New England Job Corps Centers appeared in the audience on the September 8, 2006 edition of the CBS Morning Show. Among them were students from the MTC-operated Westover Job Corps Center in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The show was broadcast between Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market in Boston.

Those who watched the program say the Job Corps signage was well seen and students appeared very happy and enthusiastic. One highlight was a Job Corps "shout-out." Additionally, some students were even asked by CBS to hold telecast queue cards.

Early Show producer Steve Cohen said the program is now in the midst of an eight-city tour. As a result of the great enthusiasm students showed at this program, he has invited Job Corps to participate in the remaining shows on the tour.

Additionally, Mr. Cohen expressed an interest in utilizing Job Corps students as interns for the program at its New York City studios. There may be potential internships for Cabling and Business Technology Students.
