Keystone Job Corps students place third in Academic Olympics
The Keystone Job Corps Center Academic Olympic team won third place at the regional Job Corps Academic Olympics held in Ocean City, Maryland.
Each year the Department of Labor Regional Office of Youth Service and Job Corps in Philadelphia sponsors an Academic Olympics competition involving students from Job Corps centers in six states and the District of Columbia.
Last summer the Keystone team earned its way into the competition by finishing first in a district qualifying event.
At the regional finals, Keystone students placed first in language arts and math. Overall the team earned a third place finish.
The Keystone team was coached by instructor Linda Schwartz.
