MTC excited to break ground on new Idaho correctional facility 400-bed substance abuse treatment, minimum security correctional facility to open in 2010 May 15, 2008 –Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is pleased to have been awarded a bid from the Idaho Department of Corrections to construct and operate a new 400-bed, minimum security correctional facility south of Boise. East Texas ISF wins 1312-bed contract
February 8, 2008 -
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) has announced, Management & Training Corporation (MTC) has won a bid to serve an additional 1312 inmates at the East Texas Intermediate Sanction Facility (ETISF) in Henderson. Currently the facility has an inmate capacity of 300. By July, that number could reach 1612 inmates. This will make ETISF the largest secure licensed treatment center in the state.

MTC bids to expand Kingman prison capacity to 3400 inmates
January 30, 2008 - Management & Training Corporation (MTC) has responded to a request for proposal (RFP) from the Arizona Department of Corrections by submitting a bid to expand the already successful Arizona State Prison – Kingman from its current inmate capacity of 1400 inmates to house a total of 3400 inmates. Growing the facility’s bed count by 2000 would require new construction totaling $130 to $150 million. The expanded prison’s annual payroll would exceed $15 million.

Taft Correctional Institution distributes more than a thousand inmate-crafted toys December 13, 2007 - Staff and inmates at the Taft Correctional Institution work year round in support of the local community’s Toys for Tots program. Volunteers design and create unique wooden hand-painted toy aircraft, hot rods, trailer trucks, jewelry and tool boxes, doll cradles, model “T” cars, train sets and much more. The items are then given to less fortunate children in the Taft area who might otherwise go without holiday toys.

Just over a month ago there was nothing but cotton growing at this 52-acre Raymondville, Texas site near the Mexico border. But as of today, the site will be home to non-Mexican illegal immigrants. As many as 250 detainees will be booked into the facility today. Up to 500 illegals are expected to be detained at the site within two weeks.
