MTC Works, an employment and training project operated in three counties of Oregon, is one of Management and Training Corporation's innovative workforce development programs. With over 40 staff and multiple state, federal and private funding sources, MTC Works offers services to over 2000 participants and multiple employers in Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook counties on the beautiful north coast of Oregon each year.

As one of the most respected workforce programs in Oregon, MTC Works also is a strategic partner of Profiles International, providing jobseeker assessments and training nationwide. The creative approaches to employment and skill development for dislocated workers, youth, adults and special populations is one of the reasons MTC Works continues to be one of the top performers for DOL and DHS contracts.

Opportunities through MTC Works include:

  • Classes and instruction for specific occupational skillsets.
  • Computer instruction including training available on the 32-ft. Mobile Training Van
  • Job Search Workshops, employer referrals and On The Job Training contracts for jobseekers
  • Lifeskill classes such as Developing Capable People
  • Government Contract Management for employers
  • Sheltered Workshops, such as Espresso Stands to teach basic customer service
  • Custom designed workshops and training for agencies or other groups
  • Job-Match Assessments for occupations nationwide
  • Management of Workforce Boards and Employment One Stop Centers and much more.

MTC Works is one of eight service providers of The Oregon Consortium-Oregon Workforce Alliance. Staff work closely with workforce partners in all 36 Oregon counties. As well, staff are sought out to serve at the national, state and local level on workforce initiatives that influence legislation and program regulations.
