MTC, as a partner and subcontractor to Creative Associates International, has been awarded a contract by The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to provide technical expertise and consulting for education and training projects around the world. The contract start date was June 1, 2007 and includes one base year with 4 option years. The award is a blanket purchase agreement under which Millennium Challenge plans to issue call orders for specific work assignments. MTC will work closely with Creative Associates to respond to call orders as they are presented.
Assignments may include technical expertise in Washington D.C. for a few days, or working in a specific country for 2-3 months to assist the government and NGOs in developing their compact around education, vocational or health initiatives. MTC and Creative Associates will be assisting MCC in meeting due diligence on their projects. Consulting will be requested for program development/monitoring; vocational training and workforce development; teacher training; non-formal education; girl’s and women’s education; adult education; curriculum design; media and technology in education; textbook design and a myriad of healthcare issues. MCC is currently working in 41 countries.
On October 22, 2007, President George W. Bush officially signed a pact with the country of Mongolia whereby the United States, through Millennium Challenge Corp., will grant Mongolia aid worth $285,000,000. MTC, in partnership with Creative Associates, has been accepted to provide vocational and technical consultation to the government of Mongolia. MTC consultants will began work November in 2007 in Mongolia, and work continues in the fall of 2008.
