A well-known Japanese proverb states, “Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher.” [MTC’s] Engaged Learning team could not agree more.

As we begin the new year, the Engaged Learning team is more committed than ever to training, coaching, and supporting teachers and facilitators at every one of MTC’s facilities.

Whether you are helping a Job Corps student with MyPACE lessons, delivering basic reading or mathematics instruction, guiding students through a high school diploma or high school equivalency program, helping students learn the skills of a trade, facilitating a substance abuse or life skills class, or teaching driver’s education, your work is central to MTC’s mission of changing lives.

In 2023, we look forward to expanding our professional development offerings for instructors and instructional leaders, and we look forward to working closely with teachers throughout the year, either virtually, in person, or both.
