Leading MTC Into the Future: Shared Services

As we look ahead to what the future holds for MTC, we hear from an MTC leader playing a pivotal role in transforming how we do business.

“I’m Michael Marquardt. In my new role, I’m excited to continue to support MTC Connect and Engaged Learning. Today I’d like to talk about the significant transformation underway with our finance and human resource functions, respectively. Our finance and IS departments have been working long hours for many months and have now successfully transferred most finance functions to our new Oracle software. They’ve done a phenomenal job making it happen. Hundreds of the tasks have been automated and others have been moved from our facilities to our new corporate shared services team. It’s an exciting change that will improve our services to our customers, vendors, employees, and the people we serve.”

As we head into spring, MTC is targeting a major technical milestone.
“Our HR team, and again the IS team, are working hard for the second big transition on April 1. Starting in April, every MTC staff member will begin to use the Oracle software giving them more visibility, accessibility, and responsibility for information about their employment.”
We can look ahead to 2023 as the year we took a significant leap forward, thanks largely to Shared Services.

“Our Shared Services team now supports accounts payable and procurement and soon will support employee recruiting, payroll, and other processes. I’m proud to work with such a great group all working hard to improve our service to you. After this transition is complete later this year, Engaged Learning will be the priority to transform how we deliver education to the people we serve. I hope you will lean into the future with me as we strive for continuous improvement of our services at MTC.”
