Community Leader Praises Willacy County Regional Detention Facility

A community leader in Raymondville, TX recently praised MTC’s Willacy County Regional Detention Facility. George Solis, commander of the local American Legion and former Justice of the Peace commended the facility and its staff for their dedication.

In a presentation at the facility, kicking off this year’s Correctional Staff Appreciation Week, Mr. Solis expressed his gratitude “for the outstanding team efforts that are observed throughout the community of the MTC/Willacy team.” 

He conveyed how city and county officials acknowledged and appreciated the facility for everything they do for the community.

Mr. Solix spent 20 years of service with the Department of Justice and 10 years as a Justice of the Peace.
