Education Courses Help One Man Better Deal with Challenges of Prison Life

Family and friends gathered at MTC’s North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio to recognize their loved ones for their academic and vocational achievements.

Gino Odeh, a carpentry graduate, expressed his confidence that his achievement would assist him in the real estate industry where he plans to make his living once released.

“Coming into prison,” says Paul Gay, proudly holding his GED certificate, “I thought that it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. And it turns out to be one of the best things.”

The graduates included students in adult basic education, pre-GED, GED, bakery, and carpentry.
