A new Mural Brings Unity to the Cleveland Correctional Center

MTC’s Cleveland Correctional Center recently added a new mural in their facility. The beautiful piece of art was created by Anthony Rose and Thuan Nguyen who volunteered to tackle the project. The result—a colorful and vivid landscape with eagles that covers an entire wall.

Anthony Rose expressed his gratitude and impressions of being involved in this project.

“I was excited to be a part of this beautification art project,” he said. “I believe the creation of this mural was an opportunity to strengthen the community and overall atmosphere here at the Cleveland unit by exhibiting positive, collaborative efforts between prison staff and prisoners. These types of inter-prison community projects allow moments where prison staff, prisoners, their families, and all human beings can admire something together as equals and forget about societal differences like age, race, and uniform.”
