MTC: East Texas Treatment Facility Senior Warden, Michael Upshaw, pictured here with Kaitlin Brown, Executive Assistant, and Tommy Goode, Henderson City Council member, recently spoke to the Lions Club regarding the facility’s recent stint as an evacuation station for facilities along the coast thought to be in the direct path for Hurricane Laura. The influx saw more than 1,000 offenders enter the facility. Representatives of TDCJ, friends and family of the evacuated offenders, and even some of the offenders themselves praised the ETTF team for their impeccable treatment of these unexpected residents.
