One man at the Bridgeport Facility says he’s a better person thanks to program

MTC’s Bridgeport Correctional Center held its first graduation of the Bridges to Life (BTL) program. More than 50 men completed the program designed to bring healing to victims of crime and reduce recidivism. Twelve volunteers who facilitated the program came to the facility to take part in the celebration. Many of the men gave testimonials of the program’s benefits and how it affected them in a positive way.

“I looked at my past, took the new tools that BTL gave me, and am now ready for a new beginning with my family upon my release.” – Raul Rodriquez

“This class made me more aware of how my choices affected so many people, and I gained empathy for others.” – Chad Ballenger

“I am now a better me.” – Jerry Duffing
