The President of MTC Talks about the Coronavirus

Hi. This is a tough time for all of us. I think we’ll be really glad when we can get our lives back to normal.

At MTC, we’re spending a lot of time these days talking about how we can keep everybody safe, both employees and the people we serve.

And really, the basic message hasn’t changed very much: wash your hands, cough into a tissue, throw the tissue away, don’t leave your house if you feel sick, all of those things.

One thing that’s changed a little bit recently is that it’s a lot easier to get tested. So, a lot of places if you just have one symptom or think that you may have been exposed to somebody else, you can go in and get a test and find out for sure. So, that’s a nice option that’s now becoming more prevalent.

The most important thing that you can do though is social distancing; that really does make a difference. It’s not that hard to do, six feet or more than six feet, but just stay that far away from anybody you come in contact with, other than the people you live with. But people at work, people at the grocery store, wherever, just stay six feet or more away and your chances are excellent that you’re not going to get this.

Best of luck. Be safe. Thanks.

Scott Marquardt, MTC President
