Last week, staff from the Taft Correctional Institution delivered 20 handmade blankets to caregivers for the Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County Inc. Adult Day Services during their annual caregiver appreciation ceremony, said a TCI news release.

The blankets were made throughout the year by inmates who participate in the Institution’s quilting program and are donated to various charities each year.
