Clearfield Job Corps Student Asked to Represent Entire Technical College

Clearfield Job Corps student Alek Molina attends Davis Technical College in Utah where he studies the development and manufacturing of composites.

Alek was asked to attend a dinner for the Utah System of Technical Colleges to present a shield, he made out of composites, to Utah Governor Gary Herbert. He was selected out of all the Davis Technical College students to represent the school and the composites program. The shield was accepted by Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox on behalf of the Governor.

During the event, Alek had the opportunity to walk the audience of technical college administrators and state officials through the process of making the shield using composite materials.

Alek said, “At first I was nervous to start talking to them all. But, I got comfortable very quickly.  In fact, I could have done that all day!”
