Competition Helps Earle C. Clements Students Prepare for Success

The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy in Morganfield, Kentucky recently held an event to encourage strong academic skills. The competition, titled Academic Olympics, tested students on their reading, writing, and math abilities. Academics play a vital role in the Job Corps program.

The students gathered in teams based on their technical training areas. Winners were recognized for their academic excellence, and all were encouraged to continue learning and preparing for the workforce.

Congratulations to advanced welding for placing first!

The event was such a success, Center Director Jeff Barton has proposed to the regional office of Job Corps to host a similar event for all Job Corps centers in the region. We’ll keep you posted!
