“Job Corps has got it right”

Shriver Job Corps students volunteered at the ‘Helping Hands Day’ event in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Rashida Williams, recreation supervisor, expressed her gratitude for the students’ help, “I’m so proud of the students. They showed great respect towards the cause and the community they were helping. And, they provided much enthusiasm in their participation.”

The students made emergency kits for children, created cards for teens in need, sorted food for hungry families, and assembled toiletry bags for people in need.

“Job Corps has got it right” added Rashida. “They educate and prepare the kids to work in a career. But this service shows me that they also learn respect for others and their community—especially when your helping those who need a hand.”
