Wind River Student is First to Achieve this Accolade

Wind River Job Corps student Amber Knight was recently selected to represent Fremont County at an event with Wyoming Governor Matt Mead. The event was held to kick off National Apprenticeship Week.

The center chose Amber to represent Wind River Job Corps and Fremont County for her many accomplishments. Most notably, she is the first Wind River student to be accepted into the International Union of Operating Engineers while still enrolled as a student. Wind River Job Corps instructor Phil Cornella said,

“I was impressed by Amber’s work ethic and ability to learn. She has continued her success from Job Corps to the workplace and I couldn’t be more proud of her.”
