Registered Nurse RN Nights
Location: Giles W. Dalby Corr. (Medical) (Post, Texas)
MTC Medical and the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility are seeking full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical family within the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility.
This is more than just a job - you will play a significant role in preparing men for success as they return to their lives. This is an underserved population who is more appreciative of your care and who are able to focus on their health without external obstacles like insurance, family dynamics and other roadblocks to following treatment recommendations.
Shift: 5p-5a (and as needed to cover shifts)
Pay: $35.00 + $ 2 shift diff for 6p - 6a
Bonus: $10,000 sign-on
Contract: Direct, permanent

This is a closed facility so less public traffic than you might find in an urgent care, hospital or clinical setting.
Safer than most emergency departments, more rewarding than a med/surg floor, and a greater level of autonomy! Just some of the daily tasks include:
- Provide care to an assigned group of patients
- Operate pill call, control meds and other medical supplies
- Perform emergency procedures as needed
- Assist with provider line
- Care about your patients (we operate under the B.I.O.N.I.C. philosophy: Believe It Or Not, I Care)

Education and Experience Requirements:
Degree in nursing, current, valid nursing license for the state of Texas or compact state. Preferred skills include: peak flow nebulizer, phlebotomy, IV and EKG. Knowledge, training, and/or continuing education courses in chronic illnesses preferred. Current CPR certification required. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
