The Imperial Regional Detention Facility is pleased to announce it has passed its recent 2018 Performance Based National Detention Standards audit with flying colors. 

“The auditors had great things to say about the facility and staff,” says Warden John Rathman. “There were no findings or concerns found during the audit.” 

One auditor commented,

“I’ve been doing this for ten years, and this is the only facility where I could single out a best practice on 1 on 1 orientation given to ICE detainees for PREA [Prison Rape Elimination Act] by facility PREA Coordinator Rafael Lopez. Excellent job!” 

Other auditors noted, “Detainees were very complimentary in staff responsiveness and treatment. Everything was great.”
