Employer “Heavily Relies” on Skilled Job Corps Graduates

Job Corps is an asset to employers throughout the country-just ask Kirk Bengtzen who’s the director of operations for Performance Automotive, a large dealership in Utah. Mr. Bengtzen partners with the Clearfield Job Corps Center. Not only do students intern at his company, they’re offered full-time jobs.

“I hired more than 25 Job Corps graduates who have completed the Job Corps’ Auto Technician program. I’ve relied heavily on the trained professionals that come from the Clearfield Job Corps program. They bring not only industry skills, but they are valuable and hardworking employees.”

Mr. Bengtzen says employers need the skilled workers who graduate from the Job Corps program.

“I am a huge supporter of what Job Corps does, not only in helping young people become self-sufficient and prepared for the labor market, but also in providing companies like mine with qualified and certified individuals who are ready and eager to fill positions in the workforce.”
