MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Over thirty inmates received their GED diplomas at a graduation ceremony Thursday morning. This is the largest number of graduates the facility has seen so far. Warden Ray Rice says he’s proud of the graduates.

“It shows that they’re willing to try to change once they’ve been in here,” said Rice. “That’s our responsibility here as a facility, to rehabilitate these guys and to make them productive citizens of society.”

Rice says he hopes to see the graduation number rise even more for the next ceremony.
