Graduate Jessica Ferraro Gives Back to Job Corps by Serving as a Residential Advisor

Jessica Ferraro has a natural way with the students at the MTC-operated Edison Job Corps Center. She gets it. Jessica was once a Job Corps student herself.

“I know what it’s like to struggle and not have anybody supporting you,” she says. “I felt like being able to be an example and role model was a calling for me.”

Today, Jessica works at the Edison center as a residential advisor manager. She has the privilege of working with these awesome young people and helping them achieve their best.

She often hears back from students who have graduated and are doing great in their new careers and in life.

“It makes me feel good because there are days where it’s like ‘What’s happening?’ But to be able to hear that from students who went through the program and they’re now doing well in their lives, it’s rewarding.”

Job Corps changed Jessica’s life, and now she’s grateful to be in a position to help others.

“This is like a hidden gem, I believe, especially for people, young people, who really need just that extra oomph and that support. This program can change your life, and it saved my life.”
