California Assemblyman Says Job Corps Provides Vital Skills Training

California Assemblyman Marc Steinorth clearly sees the value of the Job Corps program. He says,

“The 40th Assembly District was one of the hardest hit during the recession and jobs were all but impossible to find, especially for our young, unskilled people.”

“It is because of programs that offer career and technical training like Job Corps that we have been able to get our young people in good paying jobs and make them productive members of society.”

“Job Corps is partnered with all of the local trade unions and the students are given assistance through the program until they receive a position in their desired field.”

“We want our young people to stay in California and raise their families here and we also want our businesses to be able to hire the most skilled labor they can find. Without programs like Job Corps I can guarantee that the Inland Empire will suffer greatly.”
