Job Corps was a good fit for this Wind River Student

“The thing that I have loved most about Job Corps is all of the relationships I have made with friends and staff members along the way. I have felt truly supported by everyone, and I know I am on the path to success.”

Meet 19-year-old Annie from Laurel, Montana. Annie graduated from Laurel High School in 2015 and then enrolled as a Freshman at Montana State University, Billings.

After a semester of college, Annie decided it was not the right path for her and wanted to explore alternative options for higher education. That’s when she found Job Corps.

Annie enrolled at the Wind River Job Corps in Riverton, WY. She completed the office administration program in four months and decided to continue her education through advanced training at the Shriver Job Corps Center in Devens, Massachusetts, which is operated in part by MTC.

Advanced training provides students with free college-level certifications and licenses. Annie concentrated on advanced TCU/IAM, which focuses on travel logistics for train, barges, airlines, and freight companies. Annie graduated this summer and now works in the airline industry.
