Phoenix Job Corps Students Dressed for Success Thanks to Community Event

It’s something many of us may take for granted, but not for Phoenix Job Corps student David Silva.

“I never thought I would ever own a suit, and today I get to go back home with three suits thanks to Job Corps and 10,000 fearless people.”

The Phoenix Job Corps recreation department took 28 young men to participate in a local suit drive.  The event was organized by 10,000 Fearless PHXm, a nonprofit group that focuses on community empowerment and training.

Men’s Warehouse, in partnership with Ebony House,  donated 1,500 men’s suits. The turnout for the event was outstanding, and Phoenix Job Corps students were among the beneficiaries.

Student James Ivy said, “It’s really good to have staff that really care about the students. And today, they brought us here and got us all suits we can wear to interviews. I am really happy about this and really appreciate it.”

The new clothing will help these students prepare for success in their new careers.
