An exciting and beautiful spring day for nine Sierra Nevada Job Corps students who walked the stage at the Truckee Meadows Community College graduation ceremonies.  These recent graduates are the most recent success stories from the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in its solid 20-plus year partnership with the college—an institution known throughout Northern Nevada for successfully placing graduates in quality jobs.

Sierra Nevada Advanced Career Training Counselor Troy Madrid was understandably proud of the grads, “I am so happy for my students who just completed their programs at Truckee Meadows, but I am even happier, if that is possible, for those who have made perhaps the wisest choices of their lives by choosing to attend a four-year college on their own, with all the sacrifices and work that entails.  Learning is a lifelong experience—and they get that.”
